Bell

Bell is a small census-designated place in Adair County, Oklahoma, with a population of 191 as of the 2020 census. Located in the eastern part of the state, it is known for its deep Native American roots, with a large majority of residents identifying as American Indian. The community gained national attention in the 1980s for a volunteer-led waterline project that helped launch the political career of Cherokee leader Wilma Mankiller.
