Boggy Depot

Boggy Depot, near Atoka, Oklahoma, is a historic Choctaw Nation site dating back to 1838. It was a stop on the Butterfield Stage and home to Chief Allen Wright, who coined the word "Oklahoma" (Home of the Red Man). It declined after being bypassed by the railroad, becoming a ghost town. Today, it's known as Boggy Depot Park.
