Facilities Maintenance Manager
SUMMARY: The Facilities Maintenance Manager works closely with the Vice President of Building Operations and is responsible for ensuring the Museum and grounds are safe, clean and ready to receive all guests and staff. This position maintains the building systems, including managing and executing regular maintenance. This position is responsible for managing set-up, tear down, and clean-up of internal and special events at the Museum and wholesale book shipping and receiving at the warehouse. This position also interacts with patrons and works with staff to further the mission of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame | Gaylord-Pickens Museum. Compensation based on experience, plus employer-paid health, dental, vision and matching retirement contributions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform regular, routine building maintenance
- Supervise and coordinate with technicians for mechanical equipment, air conditioning, refrigeration, fire systems, stand-by emergency power, and related preventative maintenance programs
- Supervise and coordinate the work of building contractors (janitorial, plumbing, electrical, landscaping etc.)
- Must be available on-call as needed and able to work occasional night and weekend shifts
- Perform set-up, tear down, and clean-up of events in the building and grounds and managing set-up personnel
- Execute wholesale book shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventoryAbility to repair drywall and paint
- Perform basic and routine janitorial and custodial duties
- Light outdoor maintenance, trimming, and pruning
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to work independently and respond with sensitivity to diverse situations
- General knowledge of hand tools, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical and experience with basic janitorial work/tasks
- Strong organizational skills, time management skills, self-motivated, and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize, trouble shoot problems, and manage others
- Basic Computers skills, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, text message
- Must be comfortable ascending, descending, and working on ladders
- Dependable transportation
- Five (5) years maintenance or related experience preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand; lift and/or move 50lbs repetitiously; frequently ascend and descend stairs and ladders; and kneel, creep, crouch and/or crawl.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The employee will work year-round in both an office environment and outdoors. The noise level in the work environment varies from quiet to loud; situations characteristic to working with school-age children are common; and travel to other sites within the metropolitan area are possible.
