Event Set-up Technician
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Manager of Museum Maintenance and Vice President of Building Operations, the Event Set-up Technician assists in the set-up and tear down of chairs, tables, and other equipment for events held at the Gaylord-Pickens Museum.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set-up and tear down of chairs, tables, stage, dance floors and other equipment.
- Light janitorial duties.
- Parking lot and grounds inspection and light clean-up.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be available to work night and weekend shifts (typically 3 – 6 hours) as needed
- General knowledge of space planning
- Dependable transportation
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand; must have visual acuity to read and draft reports, memorandums, and other printed matter, and must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The employee will work year-round in both an office environment and outdoors. The noise level in the work environment varies from quiet to loud; situations characteristic to working with school-age children are common; and travel to other sites within the metropolitan area are possible.
